At GameShots NW, we know parents, athletes, and coaches have questions before booking a sports or swim photography session. This FAQ covers our most common topics — from booking and delivery times to areas we serve and what to expect on photo day.
What types of sports do you photograph?
We photograph all sports — from football, soccer, and basketball to baseball, volleyball, and track & field. Right now we specialize in swim and aquatic photography, but we’re fully equipped and experienced across every sport.
Do you offer individual athlete sessions or private team shoots?
Yes! While we’re not offering full league-wide picture days at the moment, we’re always available for individual athlete features, small teams, and custom photo sessions.

Do you photograph full games, meets, or action coverage?
Absolutely. Action coverage is our favorite — whether it’s a full game, a portion of a match, or swimming heats throughout a meet. We love capturing the real intensity of competition as it unfolds.
How do I book a session with GameShots NW?
You’re welcome to contact us however is easiest — message us through the website, DM us on Instagram, send an email, text, or give us a call. We’re flexible and quick to respond.
Do you charge travel fees?
There are no travel fees for most west-side locations. Team kickbacks or revenue-sharing (if offered) may vary based on location and scope of the event.
Do you photograph swim meets or in-race action?
Absolutely — swim photography is one of our specialties. We capture everything from pre-race focus and deck moments to in-water action, strokes, and finishes.
How do you capture such clear photos during fast-moving swim events?
Years of photography experience paired with the right equipment and timing. We understand the rhythm of swim meets and know exactly when and where to catch the best moments.
What should my athlete wear for a photo session?
Most athletes wear their team uniform, but comfort is key. For individual sessions, athletes are welcome to bring multiple outfits or gear if they’d like.
Can I request specific shots of my athlete?
During games or races, we can’t guarantee specific poses or moments.
However, during individual sessions or athlete feature shoots, we can absolutely work in specific ideas or requests.
Do you offer digital images, prints, or both?
Both! You can choose digital downloads, print options, or packages depending on your needs.
How long does it take to receive photos?
For live events, galleries are typically uploaded within 1–2 days.
For individual or team sessions, allow up to 7 days for upload.
How do I view or purchase photos?
All available events and galleries are listed under the Events tab on our website. Just click your event to view and order.
Can you photograph a single team without photographing an entire league?
Absolutely. We specialize in team-only or athlete-only sessions and are not offering full league picture days at this time.
How long does a team or group photo session take?
It depends on the size of the team and the style of images requested. Once we know what you’re aiming for, we’ll estimate the time needed.
Do you photograph indoor sports?
Yes — basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cheer, and other indoor sports are no problem.
Do you edit or retouch the photos?
Yes. We curate (“cull”) all images to ensure every athlete is included, and we perform basic color, lighting, and clarity adjustments to keep everything looking professional and consistent.
How long will my gallery remain online?
Our standard timeframe is 30–60 days, though we can adjust this depending on the event.
Can siblings or friends be photographed together?
Yes — during individual sessions.
For live events or games, we cannot coordinate posed group photos.
What happens if my athlete misses their photo time?
We’re not able to offer complimentary make-up times for missed sessions.
For individually scheduled sessions, a cancellation fee applies and a new session may need to be booked.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the entire Portland metro and beyond, but we especially love working on the west side — including Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Sherwood, Newberg, Canby, Wilsonville, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, and Cornelius.
Kickbacks (if offered) may vary by location.
Are you insured?
Yes — GameShots NW carries standard business liability insurance for photography services.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your session are charged the full amount.
A 50% deposit is due upon booking to secure your time.
